Child and Family Enrichment Council
(CAFÉ) is a local Child Abuse and neglect Council,
serving children who are suspected of being sexually
abused or seriously physically abused. The goal of the
Child Abuse Assessment Team is to provide high quality,
timely assessments of children and families, to assure
that ongoing support is provided to victims and their
families, to assure that use of a common protocol by the
community team, and to provide community outreach and
education for awareness about the services available
through the assessment center. At the same time CAFÉ
also provides services to strengthen families through
parent education, a resource library, family activities,
and addresses safety issues.
The Child Abuse Assessment Team supports
a multi-disciplinary team approach to the investigation
of child maltreatment cases in Isabella County . It is a
collaborative effort among local law enforcement
agencies, the Family Independence Agency, and the
Prosecutor's Office.
The Mission of the Child
Abuse Assessment Team of Isabella County is to ensure

interventions are provided for victims of child abuse
